When booking your appointment, reception staff may offer you a video consultation, where the clinician (usually a GP trainee) will ask your permission to make a video recording of your consultation.
The recording will only be used for training purposes. Your consent will always be requested in advance and you can withdraw your consent at any time.
The recording will focus on the communication between the doctor and patient and will not record examinations where clothing needs to be removed.
We believe this is a beneficial educational experience for trainees, and we encourage you to consider booking these appointments.
After the video has been used for training or after three months (whichever is sooner), the recording will be deleted, though if a recording is considered particularly useful, you may be asked for your consent to hold it longer term.
Please see below the consent form you will be asked to complete in advance of the consultation.
