Vacancy

Our practice manager has decided to become a lady of leisure, and we wish her all the best in her well-deserved free time.

We therefore have an exciting opportunity for a practice manager to join our ambitious, friendly and supportive team. We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated manager with excellent management, organisational, financial and IT skills who has experience of managing a team and has a good knowledge of employment law.

We have an enthusiastic, dedicated team consisting of four partners, three salaried GPs, three part-time practice nurses, and a full complement of experienced administrative staff. We also have attached healthcare workers such as Doing Well counsellors, a midwife, a support pharmacist and a phlebotomist.

We have been a training practice since 2007 and take doctors in training at FY2, ST1 and ST3 level. We also teach undergraduate medical students from The University of Glasgow.

This post is full-time and salary is negotiable depending on experience. NHS experience is desirable but not essential, and we would welcome applicants with management experience in other fields.  Informal enquiries and visits are welcome, by contacting Anne Findlay on 01505 613240.

To apply, please send a CV and covering letter to Anne Findlay, Practice Manager, Strathgryffe Medical Practice, Kirk Road, Houston PA6 7AR, or email to houstonsurgery@hotmail.co.uk.

The closing date for applications is 8 March 2019.
